Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has been talking about innovative plans to help unemployed young people in the UK.
With youth unemployment at a high the new youth contract scheme could see employers be given subsidies worth £2, 000 to provide work and training schemes. Currently one in five 16-24 year olds are not in full time work, education or training.
This initiative, set to start next spring, will see up to 410, 000 work and training placements created across the country. The scheme hopes to offer young people opportunities in a variety of sectors.
