It was reported recently that highstreet retailer Game is going into administration. But a recent deal with investment firm OpCapita will apparently save almost 3,200 jobs within the retail group.
OpCapita, known for purchasing Comet last year, has bought all 333 of the Game stores across the UK in a bid to turn around its performance. The UK games market is worth over £2bn and at present Game capitalise on this market.
It’s thought a small group of ex-employees will also be re-hired at the head office location.
