This summer truly has been jam-packed with sport and the Jobulo team were lucky enough to get a glimpse of it at the weekend as we attended the Paralympics 2012!
This summer has seen London host two of the biggest sporting events in the world, the Olympics and Paralympic Games. Thousands of spectators have been to the Olympic Park, lined the streets of London or watched the action unfold on TV this summer as some of the best sporting personalities from across the world took to the stage.
We’ve seen a variety of sports represented – from long jump and running to sailing and cycling. Not only has it ignited people’s passion for taking part in sport, but there has been an increase in sports jobs popularity too. Whether it’s working as a Physiotherapist or becoming a world class athlete, it seems many people want to work in this growing industry.
The Jobulo team went to the Paralympic Games this weekend and we got to see some of the best athletes in the stadium. As well as seeing discus champion Josie Pearson receive her gold medal we witnessed one of the best Paralympians of all time, Oscar Pistorius, take to the track in the qualifying heats. The atmosphere and performances truly were amazing. It’s certainly a summer we won’t forget.
